Ben Gurion International Airport - TLV

Tel Aviv, Israel (IL)

Getting around the airport

2 Terminals, 3 business lounges

Ben Gurion International Airport, named after the first prime minister of Israel, lies 19km south-east of Tel Aviv. It's known as one of the best airports in the Middle East, and will increase in importance (and traffic) when nearby Sde Dov Airport closes in 2018.

The airport has two terminals:

  • Terminal 1: Serves domestic and low-cost flights.
  • Terminal 3: Main terminal, with main building leading to Concourses B, C and D. Handles international flights. Level S houses the train station; Level G is the arrivals level with Customs Control Hall; Levels 1 (Doors 11 and 13) & 2 (Doors 21 and 23) serve as the Greeters Hall, with Level 2 being the public transportation floor; Level 3 is the Departures floor. On Level 3, straight ahead in the centre is access to the Buy & Bye Mall with stores and restaurants, followed by Border Control and the connector to the 2-level Satellite Rotunda with Transit Hall and access to concourses. There are three business lounges in the terminal and free wi-fi throughout the terminal.

Travelling between terminals

A free shuttle bus runs from Terminal 3 and the railway station to Terminal 1. Buses leave every 15-30 minutes.

International flights with low-cost carriers

Extended check-in procedure

Passengers travelling with low-cost airlines such as easyJet, Norwegian, and Wizz Air perform check-in, passport control, and security screening in Terminal 1, and are then bussed to the Departures area of Terminal 3. Take this added procedure into account when planning your arrival and departure.

If you’re travelling with carry-on luggage only and have printed your boarding pass prior to arrival, you may proceed directly to Terminal 3 for passport control and security screening.

A free shuttle between Terminal 1 and 3 operates approximately every 15 to 30 minutes, and can be accessed from the front of Terminal 3, Level G next to Gate 1 and Terminal 1 opposite Gate 4. The journey takes 10 minutes.
