The nearest city from Biju Patnaik International airport is Bhubaneswar.

Bus

Travelers need to walk about 300 metres to reach the parking yard. There are frequent buses which run from Nandankanan to airport – Bus number 207 via Jayadev Vihar and Bus number 207 A via Acharya Nagar. There are 10 buses which operate through Jayadev Vihar. First bus from KIIT to Airport is at 06:30 and the last bus from KIIT to airport is at 21:00. First bus from Nandankanan to Airport is at 07:30 and the last bus from Nandankanan to airport is at 18:30. Travelers need to pay a minimum of INR 16 for first 3 kilometre and an additional charge of INR 2 for every extra kilometre in the AC buses.

Train

Bhubaneswar railway station is located about 2-3 kilometres from the airport. Train fare from Bhubaneswar Railway station to Cuttack is INR 535 for third AC, INR 740 for second AC, INR 1235 for first AC. Train fare from Bhubaneswar Railway station to Puri Railway Station is INR 490 for third AC, INR 695 for second AC, INR 1155 for first AC. 

Pre-paid taxi

There is a pre-paid taxi counter outside the airport, less than 300 metres from the airport. However, they charge exorbitant rates - about INR 70 per kilometre travel. It is better to opt for pre-paid taxi services like Uber and Ola. Uber charges about INR 320 for a ride from Airport to Cuttack. Uber and Ola doesn’t have a counter outside the airport. However, you may make a booking through either website or an app to get a ride. They would arrange a pickup from the airport. If you opt for Economy sedan, you need to pay INR 220 for first 4 kilometre and INR 9 per kilometre thereafter. 

Biju Patnaik International Airport, is located in the city of Bhubaneswar, Odisha. It is the only state-of-the-art international airport in Odisha. The airport is powered by 100 kw solar power plant and taxi way lights make use of LED based lights which helps in energy conservation. The terminal building is elegantly constructed with numerous north light windows which offers natural light whole day thereby decreasing the need of artificial lighting. 18-foot tall bronze sculpture of previous chief minister Biju Patnaik was mounted at Bhubaneswar International Airport. Travelers could also relish sand art exhibited by Odisha Tourism at the waiting area of the airport.

Mayfair Lounge, Domestic Terminal

Both arriving and departing travelers can make use of this lounge. Kids under 6 years age are admitted free of cost to this lounge. This is a non-smoking lounge. 

It is a fully fledged lounge and it offers all the leading facilities like AC, Disabled access, Flight details, Internet access, Magazines and periodicals, Beverages (non-alcoholic), Telephones and TV.

Pal Spa lounge, Domestic Terminal

This lounge offers spa treatment and massages so that you could rejuvenate yourself in addition to other facilities like AC, TV, periodicals and magazines.

Dakota Lounge, Domestic Terminal

Dakota lounge is a lounge cum restaurant and serves different delicacies Indian, Chinese and Continental cusines at economic rates. This lounge is well known for Odia delicacies and serves packaged sweets as well. Non-flyers can also get an entry to this lounge.

Mobile and laptop charging stations are provided in the domestic Terminal 1 by Ajanta Ads.
