There's no direct rail link to the airport, and taxis can be expensive, so taking the bus can be your best option. There's also no direct bus to Sheffield, so you'll have to get a bus to Doncaster rail station and then the train.
Bus
There are two options, taking you into Doncaster in around 30 minutes. However, be aware that they don't run frequently, and may not get you to the airport for an early-morning flight:
First's 91: Its service is limited, especially in the early morning and on Sundays.
Stagecoach Yorkshire's X19: Operates Mon-Sat, once an hour. Its slightly quicker into Doncaster, but more expensive. It also goes to Barnsley.

Taxi
The airport has partnered with Little Arrows taxis for pre-paid, fixed-rate services to the surrounding area. To book and pay, go to the customer service desk in the main hall, or call (+44 (0) 1302 625 55).

Train to other cities
You can connect with Doncaster rail station, 11km away, to get to London Kings Cross in 1 hour 30 minutes, Sheffield in 25 minutes and Leeds in 30 minutes. To get to the station, take one of the buses above.
Robin Hood Airport Doncaster Sheffield is a small, basic but popular airport that lies 11km south-east of Doncaster and 29km east of Sheffield.
It's the second airport serving Yorkshire, after Leeds Bradford Airport, and is quick and easy to transit through. Operating as a commercial airport since 2005, it handles short-haul flights, mostly to European holiday destinations, by airlines including Flybe, Wizz Air and Thomson Airways.
It has one terminal on one level, with most (though limited) facilities - including World Duty Free, WHSmith, a Wetherspoon's pub/café and children's play area - in the airside area.
Doncaster airport offers a Premium Lounge starting spring 2016.
