Kempegowda International Airport - BLR

Kempegowda International Airport is located 40 kilometres from the central business district of Bangalore. The airport has one passenger terminal (Terminal 1).

• Terminal 1 has four levels and is fully air conditioned. The basement level has rest areas and storage; the ground level is Arrivals and Check-in; Level 1 is Departures with domestic security and departures to the left and international departures to the right along with gate areas; Level 2 are departure lounges and retail.
•  The information counter in the arrivals hall is open 24 hours daily and can answer all passenger inquiries.
• Airport visitors are charged INR 100 (USD 1.50) for entry. The ticket is valid for two hours from the time of purchase. They can be purchased at the curb side near the Arrival Hall.

Future Plans

Kempegowda International Airport is currently building a new terminal (Terminal 2) in two phases: in the first phase, the terminal will cater to 15 million passengers annually by 2022 and in the second phase it will cater to 55 million passengers once completed.

Bus

Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) operates buses every 15-30 minutes from various points of the city to the airport. The journey time to destination is approximately two hours.

Cost: INR 50-250 depending on the distance

Taxi

Air-conditioned sedans can be hailed from the taxi boarding point in front of the terminal building. The taxis are metered and charge a 10% surcharge from midnight to 06:00. A trip from the airport to the central business district will cost around INR 800-900 (USD 10-11.50). Uber service is also available at this airport. There is also an airport toll of INR 120 (USD 1.80) paid by the passenger.

Cost: INR 80 for the first four kilometres and then INR 19.50 every subsequent kilometre

This hotel has 20 rooms with single, double, twin, and family rooms available. They are equipped with internet, desks, a bed and shower with bathroom amenities. Additional services include massage parlour and freshly prepared food. Rates are INR 2500 (USD 37) for 3 hours or INR 3500 (USD 52) for 6 hours in a single rooms.

Showers are available at the Oberoi Lounge and Plaza Premium lounges at an extra cost. 

Plaza Premium Lounge

Two new lounges with high-speed Wi-Fi, spa and massage parlour, comfortable seating, bar, and showers for guests. Both lounges are open 24 hours a day. Shower package including full amenities is INR 600 (USD 9).

Oberoi Lounge

Buffet meals and complimentary beverages, shower room, and WI-Fi access. Open to VIP passengers of all airlines.

There is an O2 spa service after swosh stores in Bangalore domestic terminal in the first floor. Following are the services offered by spa services:

• Foot reflexology – INR 1439 for 30 minutes, INR 1763 for 45 minutes, INR 2053 for one hour
• Head and Shoulder Massage – INR 1439 for 30 minutes, INR 1763 for 45 minutes, INR 2053 for one hour
• Neck and back massage – INR 1439 for 30 minutes, INR 1763 for 45 minutes, INR 2053 for one hour
• Jet Lag Recovery Package – INR 4509 for 45 minutes and INR 4588 for one hour
• Nirvana – INR 2184 for 30 minutes, INR 2605 for 45 minutes and INR 3070 for one hour

Passengers have stated that there are insufficient power outlets but that there are mobile charging stations.

There are ample power outlets in Bangalore airport in departure hall. Power outlets are also provided in between seating rows of the waiting hall.

Above Ground Level Lounge

Buffet meals, fully equipped bar, high-speed internet, and recharging stations for all devices. Rate is currently unknown but Priority Pass is accepted.

Carzon car rental service

There is a Carzon car rental service at the exit hall of Bangalore airport in domestic terminal. Travelers may also book tickets online following the link http://www.carzonrent.com/car-rental-Bangalore-7/ . Rate is INR 1400 for trip from airport to CV raman Nagar in Budget cars like Dzire, Fusion Ikon and Accent. Rate is INR 2100 for trip from airport to CV raman Nagar in Standard cars like City, Fiesta SX4 and Verna. For Mercedes E-series, rate is INR 5400. 

Myles Rental Car

Myles Rental car, leading car rental company in India offer car rental services from Bangalore airport. They don’t have an outlet inside the airport. However, travelers may avail the services by booking car online and arrange pickup services from airport. Different plans are available to suit your requirement like hourly, weekly and monthly. Rate starts from INR 800 for Mahindra E20 and INR 1550 for Hyundai i10 Grand. Rate is INR 4992 for Toyota Fortuner AT and INR 6000 for BMW 3 series ( all the rates mentioned are daily rates).
