Trieste–Friuli Venezia Giulia Airport - TRS

Trieste – Friuli Venezia Giulia Airport is located 39 km northwest of Trieste. The airport has a three-level passenger terminal.

• The ground level is dedicated to Arrivals and Departures, with baggage claim, passport and customs checkpoint (Arrivals), and check-in desks, duty free, business lounge, security and passport control, and gates 1 to 5 (Departures).
• A mezzanine level houses gates 6-7 and 8-9 with passport checkpoints.
• The upper level has a Skyview restaurant and bar, as well as meeting and conference rooms.

Bus

Trieste Airport is well integrated into the public transport network. The main cities linked with direct bus services:

• Bus N. 51, to Trieste. Cost: around EUR 4
• Bus N. 1 and N. 26, to Gorizia. Cost: around EUR 5

Tickets can be purchased at the airport from the 24 hour ticket machine, located in the arrivals hall of the passenger terminal or at the tourist information counter.

Taxi

Taxis are available directly outside the terminal every day. Taxis are available between the hours of 8:00 and midnight. Most tourists who use the taxi services at Trieste Airport find the drivers friendly and helpful.  Taxis are a popular way to travel in all cities in Italy, but they are always more expensive than buses.

• Sala Calligaris, main terminal, airside, next to gate 8. Hours: 6:00-19:00 daily. 

You will find car hire agencies in the arrivals area of the airport, provided by Avis, Europcar, Hertz and Sixt.

You can book a car at the airport, or save money by booking online before you travel.
