Nuremberg Airport - NUE

Nuremberg Airport is approximately 5 kilometers north of Nuremberg’s city centre.

• The airport has one main terminal (Terminal 1) with 63 gates. NUE has three levels: Ground floor is divided into three sections, Arrivals, Departure 1 (right) and Departure 2 (left); the First floor has the security checkpoint and gates; the second-floor houses the Terminal 90 restaurant and an observation deck.
• Baggage trolleys are available for travellers. The trolleys accept 1 Euro coins, US quarters, and Swiss franc coins for the deposit.

Bus

A bus stop is located centrally in front of Terminal 1. Bus numbers 32, 33, and N12 (Fri & Sat only) connect the airport with the bus and tram stops Thon, Buch, and Hauptbanhof, respectively. A single fare costs EUR 3 and journey time varies depending on destination.

U-Bahn/Metro

The U-Bahn Metro line U2 serves the airport at the Flughafen stations. Trains connect the airport with the centre of the city every 10 to 15 minutes. The journey to the Hauptbanhof (Central Railway Station) takes 12 minutes. A one-way fare costs EUR 3 and is valid for 90 minutes.

Taxi

Taxis are available at Nuremberg Airport around the clock. The approximate fare to Nuremberg city is EUR 18 with a journey time of 15-20 minutes.

The Children’s Corners are equipped with high-quality toys for children 6 and under. There are puzzles and wooden toys available. A playground with a little airplane gives the opportunity to get some steam off the little ones: climbing, sliding or playing pilot reduces the waiting time.
