Getting into Pisa
Take a stroll into town (or a taxi)
Walk!
Pisa is only 1 km from the airport, so if you don't have much luggage, walking is a realistic option.
Taxi
If you're carrying a lot of bags, however, the best, and still inexpensive, way into the city centre is by taxi.
Cost: EUR 6-8 flat rate (surcharges for luggage, Sundays and public holidays)
Location: Outside the arrivals
Bus
If you prefer public transport, you'll need to take the PisaMover Bus to the new train station. It runs every 10 minutes and the journey takes 8 minutes until Pisa Central Station. Note: your ticket is only valid for 30 minutes.
Cost: EUR 1.30 (more if you pay on the bus)
Buying tickets: Information desk inside the arrivals hall or any 'tabacchi' shop
Location: In front of the Departures Terminal (hall check-in A)
Going to Florence?
Book your Terravision bus here. The journey takes 70 minutes, is pretty cheap, and is much more relaxing than driving the 100 km yourself.
